Petra has been involved with the burgeoning British mobile food scene since 2005. Back in London after several years of sailing on the open seas and picking up all kinds of fruity tips from all kinds of fruity places, Petra didn’t want to stop moving. One night it came to her in a great stomach tingling flash - she would create her very own chocolate van, Choc Star, and drive it all over Britain dispensing her delicious, choc filled wares.
After receiving regular e-mails from would-be food-vanners wanting to do something similar and having a big desire to see the tiny British street food culture grow, Petra decided it was time to create Eat St.

After extensive research – including a summer of festivalling with Petra and the Choc Star road show – Giles and his business partner James set up Souper Stew – a caravan filled with proper tasty and warming soups and stews. His skill is getting things done, getting people together and cooking up the heartiest fare around. Years after they first met as teenagers back in Suffolk, Petra and Giles had the same idea at the same time…a food van collective!

To give the idea the best chance of being pulled off we knew there was only one person who could help. Gareth works magic with a web code, he weaves effortlessly through the computer world and even has his very own wooden ice cream maker. |
